redIQ Deal Highlight: RADCO Acquires The M by Radius

redIQ would like to congratulate the team at RADCO for finalizing the acquisition of The M by Radius (formerly known as Skyhouse Midtown) in Atlanta for $131 million. The 23-story, 320-unit luxury apartment tower was purchased from UBS Global Asset Management in a deal brokered by Northmarq’s Jason Nettles and Megan Thompson. The building was completed in 2013 and also include 8,658 square feet of retail space.

Atlanta has seen expansive growth over the last year, and the city currently ranks as the 5th most active real estate market in the U.S. Both foreign and domestic investors have taken note and set their sights on the multifamily market, primarily apartments, as an influx in new residents and soaring rents make for lucrative deals. Other recent transactions in the area include Origin Investments and Kaplan Residential acquiring a 40-acre parcel in Atlanta for $31.5 million and Global State Capital acquiring the Walton Ashwood apartment community.
